Untold

Once a lonely road
Lived under many feet
Each thump was a heartbeat
That longed to scream –
To tell of all the stories swept
Under
the night
Bright men and women, walking lonesome
At night
Some left for dead, others forgotten
How sickly they lumbered on this lonely road.
